Job Summary:

The Mental Health Clinician I/II is responsible for providing therapeutic services and quality assurance to Mental Health and other services, which comprise individuals who experience severe emotional disturbance, SMI, and other co-occurring disorders. The Clinician may provide some clinical consultation and training. This position will also actively work towards certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor. The Clinician I position is a clinician actively working towards obtaining LPC/LCSW licensure within two years of the start of this job. The Clinician II position has already obtained their LPC/LCSW licensure.

Education & Experience:

Required: Master’s Degree in psychology, counseling, child guidance, community mental health, marriage and family therapy, social work, or nursing and minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the social services field. Minimum of one (1) year experience for Clinician I and two (2) years’ experience for Clinician II working with people who experience developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. LPC/LCSW License required for Clinician II position. Valid Alaska driver license, clean driving record, proof of insurance, current TB skin test/health screening and the ability to pass a criminal background check.

Preferred: LPC/LCSW License (Clinician II) or able to work towards upon hire (Clinician I). Four (4) years’ experience in social services. Two (2) years’ experience for Clinician I or four (4) years’ experience for Clinician II working with people who experience developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
