Potential coaches of the program are responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering appropriate fundamental environments for individuals and team based on skill sets and needs. Be able to commit time beyond regularly scheduled practices, games, coaches meetings and events related to the programs yearly activities. Program responsibilities for coaches include: • Possess teaching and instructing skills relevant to each player need by also providing tactics and techniques applied for team building achievement • Monitoring and enhancing team and player performance by providing encouragement and constructive feedback thru VAK learning styles (Visual, Auditory, & Kinesthetic) • Identifying player strengths and weaknesses, promote sportsmanship • Advising about health and lifestyle changes to improve player craftsmanship • Researching & developing training, practice, and season plans aimed to excel programs year-round success • Administrative tasks • Assisting with program promotion, development, fundraising, community involvement, and growth • Maintain equipment, uniforms, and field maintenance • Duties as assigned Program skill sets for coaches include: • Physical fitness knowledge • Excellent interpersonal skills • Building player rapport and communication skills • Monitor individual student-athlete progress to ensure academic eligibility • Team-work skills • Accept constructive criticism from coaching peers • Accept wide range of delegation duties beyond immediate coaching responsibilities • Demonstrate initiative without direction Program Qualifications for coaches include: • Training & work experience related to youth development • Physical fitness training & education • Recreational athletic assistant or coach • Desire to propel young adults to achieve success thru athletic platforms • Demonstrate unselfishness and strong leadership skill set • CPR training, heads-up training, and HS football rules • Knowledge of athletic diet, and nutrition • Able to supervise players in practice areas, locker rooms, buses, overnight and community outings • Ability to perform under pressure during athletic events, emergency situations, and quick decision making • Background check • Follow school district rules and regulations
